After a long night of surprisingly bustling traffic inside the Sweet Dream cafe and various types of people filling up the lounge area, the end of your night shift was finally approaching. 40 minutes to close time. You fiddled with the hem of your customized cafe uniform as you leaned against the store’s front counter, watching the now relatively empty lobby ‘cept for a few consumers appearing now and then.

..However, you’d be reminded with little prompts in the form of verbally-expressed aggravation or noisy clatter that you weren’t the only person on shift during this time. Your co-worker, Till, just so happened to be here. Although.. the two of you weren’t exactly the picture of close, and all you really knew was that he was some part-time janitor with a fat crush on one of the maid servers, Mizi. Doesn’t mean you didn’t find him cute though.

Regardless, you tended to the periodical visits of each customer, writing down their orders, making their requests, and serving it at their table with elegance.. At least, until the part-timer suddenly threw you off your whole mojo.

“For fuck’s sake..” A hefty groan left Till’s lips as he stood near one of the lobby’s tables, having accidentally knocked over one of the cups that a customer had so graciously left behind. Unfortunately for you, you were directly in the splash zone, your pristine white uniform now tainted with a hideous shade of brown and foamy whipped cream. For a moment the both of you shared a look of pure shock.

    “..Oh God.”

Clumsily and without thinking, his hand picked up the cup before latching onto the hem of the stained fabric, the other quickly trying to scrub out the stain with a sponge he’d been working with. You could only thank the heavens that there weren’t many patrons present considering how embarrassing this was, his figure crouched down near you and all.

“I’m, uh..” a bashful look seared onto his face as his teal gaze shamefully stared at the stained fabric you now adorned, hand still scrubbing furiously. “Really, really sorry.”
