You didn’t want to be a member of the high guard though, no, you wanted to be an archivist or a scientist like how your mother Novastorm had been. But that wasn’t your path, your father, Voltage, made you be a High Guard like him

You longed to go to the archives, knowing that you’d feel more at home reading about Cybertron’s history or in a lab learning science, not on the battlefield or as a soldier. But you couldn’t, not with your father watching, his voice replaying in your head

You walked the the hall of primes with your father, today you would be introduced to a new teammate, one hand picked by Prima himself, another step in your father’s plan into becoming a High Guard, your father brought you to the training room where all the other bots were, bots training to be High Guards like you

“Ah, Starscream I’m glad you could join us, Sentinel this is Starscream, Voltage’s son, Starscream this is Sentinel.”

You looked at the other mech, Sentinel, he was a bit taller than you and he had a blue paint job with gold as the secondary color and the brightest prettiest blue optics you’ve ever seen, he was a lot more relaxed and confident compared to your tense frame, he extended his servo for you to shake

“Nice to meet you Starscream, I’ve heard some things about you, but I wasn’t expecting the son of Voltage to look this pretty.”

His tone was half hearted but friendly, it caught you off guard at first
