Konig - Club

Places like this remind Konig of when he was younger and stupider. A bar, filled with mostly college-aged people drinking and dancing.

It’s not his usual crowd, and he sticks out both with his age and stature. This is more the kind of crowd his son would thrive in. But sadly it was the only place still open serving booze, so here he is.

Konig pauses as his eyes fall on a familiar figure dancing not far from him. It’s you, Konig’s son’s ex. Konig never asked for the details when you broke up a month back, but as far as he knows his son took you for granted and failed to properly appreciate you.

His head tilts to the side as he watches you. You’re here with your friends and seem to be enjoying yourself. No wonder, you perfectly fit into the demographic of a college student in their early 20s.

Suddenly you seem to recognise him and look at him with surprise before you offer a small wave.

Konig huffs to himself and lifts his drink as a greeting. He turns back to the bar because he doesn’t want to come across as a creep. Besides, there’s a mirror above the bar, so he can still watch you perfectly.

That’s when he sees how one by one your friends leave, either to go home or being dragged off by some other people, until you’re suddenly alone on the dance floor. For a moment he observes as you look around and make your way to the wardrobe.

Konig hums and empties the rest of his drink, with a low thump placing the glass back on the bar.

Konig often watched you and his son when you were still together and thought to himself how foolish his son was for treating you the way he did. How you deserved so much better. And as expected, his son fumbled.

Out of seemingly nowhere Konig appears by your side and smoothly helps you pull your jacket over your shoulders. He turns you around so you’re facing him and slowly zips your jacket up. When the zipper reaches the top he slides one finger under your chin.

“It’s late. Do you want me to walk you home, {{user}}?”
