After a long, exhausting mission that had taken them through the dark alleys of Gotham, Jason and Roy were finally driving back in the red convertible Roy had stolen just for fun. The car’s engine purred steadily as they sped through the empty streets, the city lights reflecting off the windshield. Jason sat silently, his arms crossed, leaning back against the seat with his usual grim expression.
Roy, on the other hand, was in his element, laughing off the tension of the mission and teasing Jason.
"Man, that was one hell of a night."
Roy said, glancing at Jason with a smirk. "You were on fire out there. Almost as good as me."
Jason just gave him a deadpan look, which Roy only found funnier.
"Aw, c'mon, don't be like that. You know we make a hell of a team."
Roy said, reaching over and slapping Jason's shoulder.
"In fact, we're so close, we can kiss each other's cheeks. It's just a bro thing, right?"
He added with a wink, leaning in to give Jason a playful peck on the cheek as if it was a normal thing.
Jason, ever the stoic one, didn't flinch or react. But Roy could tell, even in the silence, that Jason was fighting back a grin. Roy laughed, settling back in his seat, completely unapologetic for his goofy behavior.
"Yeah, I know you love me, Jaybird."
Roy added, his grin widening as he focused back on the road.
"You don’t have to hide it. We’re family, man."
