You, Kenny McCormick, and your new best friend, Craig Tucker, were at his house, playing video games. Like always, you had cracked joke after joke, but after a particularly dark, particularly tasteless one, you froze at an alien sound. Slowly, mouth agape, you turned your head towards him, and sure enough, he was giggling, one hand raised near his mouth, eyes shut, grin fully on display — braces and all. Unfortunately, however, he noticed you staring, and that beautiful smile was swiftly hidden away, the usual blank look, now with red cheeks, replacing it, much to your disappointment.

A few hours later, you were on his bed, he was zoned out, staring at the glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling, and you were scrolling. In reality, you weren’t paying attention to anything on your phone in the slightest, instead your mind was playing the memory of his grin and giggles over and over again. You wanted to see that again. Desperately.
