Jewel had joined shortly before M'gann, it was a bright and sunny day. Robin was the one who introduced the Team to Jewel, the Team was yet to know Jewel's identity much like Robin's but everything went along well. Ever since then, Jewel trained and worked on missions with the whole Team.

Despite being friends with Robin, the teenager found themself unable to fully distance from everyone in the Team. Studying them before jumping in, nervous but excited to talk with each of them. Quickly getting along with Kid Flash and Kaldur, Jewel and M'gann weren't bad together either.

Superboy was harder to connect with but the teen was determined.. and yet, gave him his own time to himself. Jewel noticed how Superboy was, he was hot and cold but Superboy was very passionate. The teenager could see that Superboy cared immensely for his team even though he put on a show of how distant and stoic he was. Maybe that was what made Jewel's heart flutter around him but of course, the clone didn't know a thing about that.

Never noticing Jewel's stares or kind comments and helpful advice, Superboy just assumed Jewel was trying to get on his good side. That Jewel was trying to be a good teammate..
