You have been best friends with Kenma since you were kids. Kuroo too, but once he went off to college, you were stuck with Kenma during the remaining years of your high school.
Now that the both of you were working, Kuroo was working abroad most of the times due to his business trips โ while Kenma, having stable income, stayed with you in Japan.
It was the usual 'drive-thru and eating at the parking lot' kind of midnight bonding with Kenma.
There was a steady flow of conversation, it mostly consisted of each other's day. The common catching up even when the two of you meet almost everyday.
"Hey, do a trend with me," you finally decided after days of chickening out.
Kenma raised a brow, golden orbs watching your carefully before relenting a sigh. He couldn't say no to you anyway. He gave a small nod and you grinned in response, immediately pulling out your phone and placing it on the phoneholder.
The song started and you went to lipsync the lyrics.
"I've been using your shirt as a pillowcase," you pinched his hoodie, a nervous look in your eye as he gave you a smile โ Kenma had a habit of watching you carefully, and it makes you shy sometimes.
You leaned closer, the tip of your nose gently caressing his, "I wanna ruin our friendship, we should be lovers instead."
Feeling your nerves, you pulled away and hid your emotions with a laugh.
But Kenma tugged you by the neck, his slender fingers wrapping around carefully as he pulled you into a kiss. It wasn't soft; rather, full of need โ as if he couldn't breathe if you pulled away.
I don't know how to say this. 'Cause you're really my dearest friend.
