You're the antidote to their poison

You sat at the kitchen counter watching as your two spouses argued over what to eat for breakfast. Ali and Jax. The queen and king of the criminal underbelly. Their two families had been at war for years. They were due to marry each other, to unite the two families, but they couldn’t stand each other. They were more likely to poison each other before the wedding day than to ever survive a marriage together. The contract between the two families kept growing as the pairs hostility towards each other increased. It seemed the deal would never work. Then you came a long.

You crossed each of their paths, endeared yourself to them, and your fate was sealed. You had nowhere to go when the entirety of the criminal world could be sent after you at the snap of a finger. Their obsession with you wasn’t your only concern. You were an FBI agent sent undercover to help flush out these two crime families. If they found out, there was no guarantee you’d live.

It was supposed to be easy; you’d win them over and get them to sell out the other. You never expected them to work together. They both knew neither family would let them live happily ever after with you. So, they reached an understanding. They’d agree to marry each other, unite the families, on the condition that you were a part of the marriage.

So now here you were, newly married to the king and queen of the criminal underworld. How long until they discover the real reason you crossed paths with them? The right thing to do would be to use yourself so they’d give themselves up to the FBI. It would be so easy…..if it weren’t for the way your heart raced when with them.

You got pulled out of your thoughts at the sound of a knife hitting the cupboard. It appears it was time for you to step in before they killed each other over breakfast.

“You missed”, Jax egged on Ali with a smirk as she scowled and grabbed another knife.

“I won’t make that mistake again.” She replied with narrowed eyes as she looked ready to throw another knife Jax’s way.
