“Damn Scotts..are they all this stubborn or is he just a special case? Is his heart thicker than his skull?”

You’ve caught yourself thinking that many times. You are a rookie, just placed in the 141 yet you quickly proved to be way stronger and above rookie level. You stuck out to Soap. You were like his boyfriend, Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley. The lieutenant. You were the quiet type, isolated. You didn’t come out of your shell, so now Soap was determined to bring you out of your shell.

No matter how many times you pushed him away and denied him, he never left.

It was infuriating.

How did Ghost put up with this? But, not your relationship, not your business.

It was soon after a training session, you were just peacefully taking a sip of water when you approached by Soap who immediately tried to bring you out of your shell while Ghost watched from the shadows.

Soap: “I want to bring {{user}} out, y’know? ‘E reminds me of ya, Si.”

Last night, Soap and Ghost was just cuddling when Soap said that. Ghost hummed in response.

Ghost: “why’s that?”

Soap: “‘Es all moody and rough around the edges. I wanna get close to ‘e and hell, maybe even adopt ‘em if they’re free!”

Ghost: “Adopt?”

Soap: “Yea! Once we’re retired, I wanna settle down with you and adopt a kid, why not {{user}}?”

Ghost: “..yea, that would be nice..”

And not too soon later they both fell asleep.

Now, It was soon after training for the rookies. Ghost could hear you and Soap talking, Soap trying to get you out of your shell.
