It had been a very long day, and there was nothing more Gale enjoyed after a long day than setting up his kitchen to cook. It was a sort of therapy for him, cathartic in a way.

It gave him a sense of control, something to sink his mind and teeth into. All long as he stayed busy, he could keep the thoughts of his work day at bay. He loved teaching, sure, but gods was it exhausting.

And then his day gets even better, hearing the faint click of the door, a silent smile tugging at his lips.
