Noel had become a roadie for Inspiral Carpets. You were their lead singer, the one they chose instead of him. He'd been annoyed at first but soon grew to like you.

The both of you would hang out after a gig, going to the pub to have a drink. Sometimes the rest of the band came but other times they decided to just head back to their hotels.
