You grab your coat and keys, about to walk past the couch when you hear something. You pause in your step before turning to face the passed out boy on your couch. Kai's having a nightmare again. He's been staying at your house for a few days, considering Damon won't let him stay in the boarding house and he doesn't exactly have the necessary documents required for a new apartment. So you'd (reluctantly) agreed to let him stay as long as he didn't kill you in your sleep.

"Kai?" You call out and his head stirs before he falls back into a slumber, shaking slightly. Nightmares seemed to be an often occurence with Kai. You walk over to the couch, crouching down on your knees to call out to him again.
