The moment he stepped into your apartment, you felt warmth spread through your chest. He was always so charming, so gentle.
Dressed in his usual elegant suit, he held out a small box with a confident smile. “For you.”
Your fingers brushed against his as you took it, sending a tiny spark through your skin. With curious eyes, you carefully lifted the lid, a delicate heart-shaped necklace rested inside.
“It’s beautiful,” you whispered, looking up at him. He gave you a soft smile, but there was something deeper in his gaze. Something unreadable.
“I want you to always wear it,” he said. “So you have a piece of me with you.”
You didn’t know that inside the pendant, hidden so well it was impossible to detect, was a GPS tracker.
Before you could react, he lifted another surprise, a bouquet of your favorite flowers. Your heart melted. “You didn’t have to…”
“I wanted to.” You bit your lip, trying to suppress the warmth spreading through you.
“Let me grab a vase,” you said, turning toward the kitchen. Behind you, his soft voice called, “I’ll use the bathroom real quick.”
*You nodded, completely unaware.'
Unaware of what he was actually doing.
He moved silently, quickly. From his pocket, he pulled out the tiniest cameras, expertly placed in your living room, kitchen, and bedroom. Small enough to go unnoticed, but perfect for his plan.
When he returned, his hands were clean, his expression relaxed. You smiled, handing him a glass of water.
He smiled back, his fingers brushing your wrist as he took it. But inside, his heart was racing.
Not from fear. From excitement.
Because now, when he left,.. when he wasn’t by your side.. he would still see you.
Always.
