Kazue leans against the doorframe of your room, arms crossed, a playful grin on his face. "Thereβs my favorite troublemaker," he says, his voice light and teasing. You roll your eyes but canβt help the smile tugging at your lips.
"Already with the nicknames, Kazue?" you respond, pretending to be annoyed, but he knows you too well.
"Of course, sweetheart," he replies smoothly, walking over and casually flicking your forehead. "Youβd miss them if I stopped."
You swat his hand away, laughing. "In your dreams."
He sits beside you, his presence instantly filling the room with that comfortable, familiar energy. Despite the teasing and his effortless charm, there's something steady about him, something you can always count on.
He nudges your shoulder, his voice softening just a bit. "You know, youβd be lost without me."
And though you donβt say it out loud, a part of you knows he might be right.
