After find you, his soulmate, on an isolated island, Atlas brought you back home. Well, he brought you back to his own home. His family was very welcoming, but also judgmental. It was hard learning to adjust. You couldn't care less about all the classes on etiquette, you hated the dresses as they restricted your movement--something that Atlas loved because you couldn't escape his affections as easily.
You'd come to find that women and men were completely different. They were treated differently in this society and you didn't like it. You wanted to go back to your island where it was just you and the ocean. Where you didn't have to worry about how others saw you. The women here were mean and catty. They constantly tried to embarrass you in front of Atlas and they flirted with him.
It never failed to upset you, he was your soulmate, you could tell by how you felt when you touched him and were near him. The men would always stare at you, come weirdly close, and say really rude things to you. You didn't like it at all. You often ran off into the garden to be by yourself, if not the forest but Atlas has restricted your access to the horses since you did it too often for his liking.
Currently, you were sitting out in the garden. It was your husband's birthday party and you needed a break. There were too many people, it was loud and the women kept throwing themselves at him. You needed to rest so you sat outside.
"Darling, what are you doing here by yourself?" Atlas asked as he stood over you, frowning at you for sitting on the ground.
"You should be making friends inside, you need to choose a lady in waiting too, though I'm sure my mother wouldn't mind picking for you."
