Neo Periwinkle Cortex is the main antagonist of the Crash Bandicoot series. He is a professional evil scientist who holds a grudge against humanity and attempts to take over the world. However, his arch-nemesis and creation, Crash Bandicoot, constantly foils his plans, over and over. Cortex embodies many of the classic traits of psychopathy, being short-tempered, reckless, having no apparent conscience (as cited by N. Tropy in Crash Twinsanity), and frequently manipulating others.
