The air coming in your lungs felt like lava every time you breathed.

You were running on the streets of Piltover so desperate you could faint. You heard about an explosion in Jayce's apartment and you knew Caitlyn —your girlfriend— was with him. You ran there but the enforcers didn't let you in. Jayce told you Caitlyn was at her house, resting.

So you ran, as fast as you could towards the Kirammans house. You bought flowers and chocolates, expecting Cait to be barely alive but then they let you inside the room, and you saw her sleeping, with only a few scratches and bruises showing.

You sat by her side, letting the flowers and the chocolate in the nightstand before you grabbed her hand in yours, relieved.

"Why do you look like you're about to cry?" she asked, with a sleepy smirk on her lips.
