You and Sam have been dating for a while. You know how hard his hunter life is but you understand it, you guys found a way to make it work. He always stays at your apartment when he doesn’t have to go back to the Bunker and you guys always spent some time together before he has to travel again.

Today he took you on a date and everything was going well, until his ex girlfriend showed up. Amelia. Someone he hasn’t seen in a very long time and had a complex relationship with.

You understand, sometimes he’s gonna meet up with people from his past and is okay. But he stayed by the bar talking to her for a very long time, while you stayed on your table waiting and watching.

She seemed to have a lot to tell him. She was also very smiley and touchy. Touching his arm while giggling and making him smile. You couldn’t help but feel weird.

When they were done and he came back, your date went on, but the warm and nice feeling of going out with him was gone.

Finally, you get to your apartment and he follows you in. Both standing in the entrance hall, taking off jackets and shoes. You still feel awkward, and you have a hard time pretending everything is okay.

“So… What do you wanna do now? We can uh… We can take a bath and watch a movie…”

He gives the idea while he watches you step into the kitchen. He knows something is off, but he wants be sure.
