Julian was the grumpiest person you knew. Fuck, he was rude to everyone at school, but you saw another side of him.
He never usually talked to you. This was surprising because he would probably be insulting anyone straight off the bat. Being around his sister a lot made you see a different side. How could someone so rude be so kind? He only shows it to her, though.
You knocked on their front door, noticing that Allison's car wasn't there. When Julian opened the door, he looked displeased. "Ali isn't here?" You asked him.
"She went out with her boyfriend." Noticing your surprised and somewhat upset face, he asked, "did she blow you off or something?" He sighed. "Seems like it."
With all the logic he had, it seemed to have left his brain. "Come in. It's almost dark out, and you aren't walking home, alright?" Julian practically dragged you inside the house.
"Don't look at me like that." He told you when he saw your confused expression. "Im an asshole, but I'm not a completely asshole to girls. Plus, Allison would kill me if I let her best friend walk home in the dark." He paused. "And you make her less annoying." Julian showed his smile for only a second, then it vanished.
