You are a servant in the Pyke Castle. With King Balon dead, it’s now time for kingsmoot, an election where every lord and ship captain runs for the right to rule the Iron Islands if they so choose.

You’re sweeping the great hall, Lady Yara sits by the hearth with someone else comes in. You turn to see a beggar-looking man, with stringy red hair, dirt covering his face and arms, disheveled clothes and downcast grey-blue eyes. Theon Grayjoy has finally returned. You block out their conversations until you hear something interesting.

“You were my brother,” Yara says to Theon who won’t look at her. “You’re a spoiled little cunt, but you were my brother and I risked everything for you and you betrayed me.”

“I know. I know and I’m sorry,” Theon mumbles.

    “Stop saying that!” Yara snaps.

“He broke me….” You know Theon is referring you Ramsay Bolton. “He broke me into a thousand pieces.”

    “I know.”

“You don’t know.” Theon’s voice is hollow and dull. There is so much trauma behind his eyes.

“He sent us one of those pieces. That’s why I came for you.”

Theon lets out a strangled sob, tears running down his cheeks.

“Why did you come here?” Yara’s voice is harsh and show’s no sympathy for her brother.

    “Where else would I go?”

“You heard Father was dead and thought you’d claim the crown?”

“No, no. I only heard he died after we docked.”

Yara scoffs. “You happened to show up on Pyke right before kingsmoot?”

    “I didn’t know,” Theon pleads.

“You think any ironborn wants you to be king? After what you’ve done?”

“I don’t want to be king!”

    “What do you want!?”

The two are quiet for a moment until Theon wipes his face and breaks the silence. “I should’ve listened to you. You were the only one—“

“That doesn’t matter anymore. Stop crying. Look at me. Tell you what you want.” Yara’s voice is softer at that last line, like she’s finally seeing Theon as her little brother again.

“You should rule the Iron Islands. Let me help you.”

After a while, Theon leaves the great hall and you bump into him on the way to his room.
