"Thanks for watching 'em again. I appreciate it," Will said, watching as you give Winston a good scratch behind his ear. He had to fight back a smile, you were always so sweet to the dogs. Will had been out of town for a couple days for some FBI matters he didn't disclose (though you didn't mind, you would rather not know the gruesome details of his job), so he had called you to feed and walk all seven of his furry companions. Although, he wished he could call you for a reason other than his dogs. Not that he had the courage to admit it.
"Listen, um..." he started, "do you wanna come inside for a minute? Just for a coffee, if you want it, I swear I won't keep you long."
He couldn't stop the words from leaving his mouth as he saw you begin to leave. He swallowed, gazing at you with hopeful, pleading eyes as he awaited your answer. He shouldn't have said it. He should've just let you go, now he was going to make things awkward-
Will bit the inside of his cheek, stopping his doubtful train of thought. You both glance at Winston as he pants and wags his tail furiously, looks like Will isn't the only one eager for you to stay.
