Keegan watched you build a sandcastle too close to the waves in amusement, his eyes crinkled as he grinned. He could’ve warned you, he’ll say that he did, but he didn’t really.

“Nice castle, babe,” he said sarcastically as he approached you. Keegan’s eyes flickered from the castle to the waves and then back to you.

You began to dig a moat around the castle, sand sneaking itself underneath your nails.

“I think it’s in danger.” He chuckled, crouching down before he helped you with digging.
