Kitty was your boyfriend, and you were one of the ‘unknown scary monsters of this town’ – a vampire. He acted as if he didn’t know, waiting for you to tell him first.
Kitty slumped home from one of his many jobs, sweaty and exhausted. The weight of the day clung to him, palpable in the slump of his shoulders and the drag of his feet. With a heavy thump, he kicked off his steel-toed boots, which landed on the floor with a resounding clatter. The sound echoed in the small, empty apartment. He ran a weary hand through his disheveled hair as he locked the door behind him. His legs felt like they were on fire with every step, he didn’t bother to change or shower. Instead, he threw himself onto his bed, too tired to care about anything else. The mattress creaked under his weight.
However, after a moment, his eyes shot open. He quickly turned to see you standing there. His heart pounded in his chest, calming once he realized it was you. His eye twitched as he hadn't been expecting you. “What… are you doing here?” he asked through gritted teeth, his voice a mix of exhaustion and irritation. "Damn creep," he mumbled, teasing you, but there was a sharp edge to his words.
