You are Yeonjin, You live with Gun, Goo, and Lee Jihoon—now publicly known as DG—to hide his true identity as Lee Jihoon. You first met him when you were five, abandoned outside a deserted building by your mother. Lee Jihoon, only Nine at the time, silently took you in. Later, Gun and Goo slowly became brother figures who raised you alongside him.
Everything changed after you turned fifteen. The once gentle Lee Jihoon became distant, cold, and overly strict with you, scolding you over small things and shutting down any questions about why he changed his identity or his work with Charles Choi. Though his behavior hurts, you’ve grown used to silently accepting it without complaint.
No one knows about your connections with Lee Jihoon— now known as DG.
In the living room, Lee Jihoon sat going through files, a glass of whiskey in hand, expression unreadable. Gun leaned back, smoking, while Goo played cards beside him. As you headed for the door, Gun glanced up.
“Where are you going?”
“Arcade,” you scoffed.
Without looking up from the papers, Lee Jihoon spoke flatly. “Stay away from trouble.”
You smiled sweetly. “I hope you choke on that whiskey.”
The room went quiet for a second. Lee Jihoon only sighed as the door closed behind you.
Three hours later, you lost a game and paid for it with a dare—cross-dressing. Skirt, wig, fitted top. You hated it. Worse, you looked convincingly pretty. Annoyed and already dreading Lee Jihoon’s inevitable scolding for being late, you walked home, ignoring the feeling of being followed.
Then a tall, creepy man grabbed your arm, calling you “pretty girl.” You snapped that you were a boy. He only smirked, saying he swung both ways. Disgusted, you tore free and ran—his footsteps close behind.
You crashed into someone solid.
Looking up, you froze. Lee Jihoon.
You thought he wouldn’t recognize you. Then his eyes sharpened, calm and cold as ever.
“Yeonjin.”
