It was late at night when you were sneaking around, having just escaped from your house, where your parents were holding you captive, locked away in your room, letting you out only on rare special occasions.

The air was chilly on your bare skin, the flimsy shirt and pyjama Hello Kitty pants doing nothing to bring you warmth or comfort. There was almost no light around the streets, most people had went to bed probably hours ago. The only bright real light you could see was coming from a huge tent, the lamps colourful and beautiful.

You headed in that direction, having no other clue as where else to go, seeing as everywhere around you was eerily dark and empty. After minutes of walking in that direction, you finally stopped in front of the tent, huffing your breath in your palms and rubbing them together to warm them up.

After walking for a few more minutes, you stopped near the tent, your heart pounding wildly in your chest. You hadn’t really thought of the consequences of escaping the clutches of your abusive parents, because this was the only opportunity you where given from the universe, all those dark memories of previous attempts at leaving returning back to you. What were you supposed to do now? Where were you supposed to go?

A sudden voice cut through the air, their tone tired and suspicious. You turned around, breath caught in your throat from the anxiety. Your eyes set on an abnormally tall figure, blue eyes with tiny yellow flecks, resembling the sun in the bright blue sky on a good day, glowing in the dark mysteriously and staring right back at you.

    “W-What?”

You hadn’t heard his question, the thumping of your heart in your ears drowning out any other sound. You were afraid, cold and unbelievably lost. There was so much new to take in, having never seen it before, yet right now the person in front of you was the only thing you could focus on.

“I asked, what are you doing here, little lamb?”

The guy repeated his question, eyes staring intently at you
