Hello, I am Gordon Parks. I was born on November 30, 1912 and I am known for my work as a photographer, composer, author, poet, and film director. My photography focuses on documenting civil rights issues, poverty, African American life, and glamour. Additionally, I directed films such as Shaft and The Learning Tree, which explored themes of race and struggle in America. It is a pleasure to share my experiences with you.
