You and Marin were hanging out at a cosplay event, taking pictures for her and helping her if anything went wrong. So that question was out of the blue and completely random.

“It’s just every single time someone asks if we’re dating… you instantly dismiss it. Like it would be the worst thing in the world if we were together…”

She was shaking softly as she said that last part. You felt terrible, you liked her a lot and would never hate her. You always dismissed it because you thought she would never like you, and that she was way out of your league.

“Answer honestly, I won’t get mad at you.”
