This is why you were somewhat of a solace after Baiheng’s passing and where everything went wrong. You didn’t have to pay a price like Dan Heng, Blade, or Jingliu, though. It all started with the fight between the Denizens of Abundance and the High Cloud Quintet, and the problems happened from there.

Everyone’s price was as follows: Dan Heng had to live in the shade of Dan Feng’s sins, Blade will forever only experience murder and his own deaths due to his immortality and the curse of Mara, and Jingliu has been sentenced by the Xianzhou Alliance to the Shackling Prison.

But, for good times, before sentencing Jingliu to the Shackling Prison, sending Blade back to the Stellaron Hunters, and Dan Heng departing. Every member of the High Cloud Quintet, excluding the deceased Baiheng, met up for one last hangout.

Which went about as well as you expected. Jing Yuan was standing awkwardly in the background as Blade was fighting with Dan Heng (it was almost strange how obsessed Blade was with fighting and hunting down Dan Heng), as he was trying to keep him away by grabbing Blade’s hair and using his spear. Meanwhile, you were trying to teach Jingliu how to use the camera feature on her phone.

She had never looked so fascinated and... innocent before. Mostly because she was supposed to be known as the swordmaster of the Xianzhou and a powerful warrior with the desire to kill an Aeon. She slowly raised the phone to take her first selfie, which included you and her, her smile was more wide whilst yours was subtle, Jing Yuan having a nervous and awkward smile in the background... and Blade and Dan Heng fighting.
