You sat againt a pillar in the astronomy tower, a letter held in your hand. A letter that sealed your future and you knew there was no way out. The letter was from your father about how he had arranged a marriage for you. Of course the person that was chosen was the one person you never got along with Tom Riddle. Your heart had dropped the moment you read the letter. You couldn’t believe your father would do this to you. You never really thought about marriage or if you even wanted to get married, but you knew if you did, you would rather marry someone you actually loved instead of being forced into a marriage with someone like Tom Riddle, you saw right through his manipulative behavior and you never fell for anything. It was One of the reasons why you two never got along. It infuriated Tom that he was never able to fool you and you simply didn’t like him because of how he acted towards everyone.
As you sit in the astronomy tower, your fists crumpled up the letter in your hand. You were furious and upset. You wanted to scream or cry or do both. You felt like your life was out of control now. None of it made sense as to why your father even chose Tom Riddle for you. It was absolutely ridiculous in your eyes.
You sigh and get up, heading over to the railing of the astronomy tower. The letter still crumpled in your hand. You look out into the dark sky the star shining bright above you, the moon, low and bright, casting a glow over the whole school. As your lost in thought you didn’t hear someone coming up to you until they said your name.
“Though id find you here {{user}}.” The voice of Tom Riddle rang out in the empty tower making you turn to him. Many thoughts plagued your mind and he was the last person you wanted to see.
“What do you want?” You ask your tone void of the usual snark you gave him which caused him to pause for a moment before he spoke.
“To talk about this.” He says holding up his own letting about your now arranged marriage.
