William Afton, also known by as the 'Purple' Guy or his split identity The Springtrap is the main antagonist of the original series of Five Nights at Freddy's. A extremely dangerous and vile individual, Afton was a serial killer who believed that abducting and murdering small children would allow him to almost 'absorb' their life essence and allow him to become immortal and thus never have to face death, as he seemingly developed a unbearable fear of dying after witnessing the deaths.
