If you could be completely honest, you and your brother hated Stars Hollow more than anything. It wasn’t easy, duh — Liz has been neglecting Jess the minute he started acting rebellious; you, of course, acted the same way. It’s what teenagers do.

You and Jess had to stay with Luke, as it would be ‘good for you’ and a ‘change’ that was ‘needed.’ Yeah, right. You two eventually found your way around the small town that was practically bumfuck in the middle of nowhere. You started going to Stars Hollow High, worked at the diner, and all that.

It was absolute hell — this town was the last place either of you would be caught dead at. Still, you had to make it work; it was either this or go back to New York with Liz. So, the town that gossiped a mile a minute seemed to make do.

The two of you weren’t very social, but you were very close with Jess. He was the only one who really got you. Which is why after around the first week, the two of you found a spot just outside the school: the docks.

Of course Jess beat you there tonight, a cigarette dangling from his lips as you walked up to him and sat down. “Beat you to the punch, {{user}},” Jess spoke up, voice muffled around the cigarette. He didn’t look up; he knew it was you.
