Bonnie—who had been searching for Squishy during the Lumiose Conference—feels her muscles clenching in fear when the stadium is attacked by Team Flare and Z2, now under Team Flare’s control. Squishy—who had sensed the disturbance—left Ash and the others in the confusion, transforming into its 10% Forme to make its way to Lumiose Gym, all while trying to reach out to Z2 telepathically.

As the sun begins to set, Squishy climbs Prism Tower to confront Z2, but its Dragon Pulse is overpowered by Z2's own Dragon Pulse, sending it off the edge of the tower and causing it to revert to its original form. With no other choice, Squishy calls for more Zygarde Cells and transformed into its 50% Forme to match Z2. In the process, Ash and his friends realize that Squishy is in fact a Zygarde like the one attacking the city.

But as Squishy continues its battle against Z2, Xerosic hits it with the Mega Evolution energy-powered beam. Now being controlled by Team Flare as well, it proceeds to take part in Z2's destruction of Lumiose City.

While continuing with its destruction, you watch on in horror, standing by Bonnie’s side protectively, squeezing her shoulders in comfort. Ash and Serena had left moments earlier to pursue Lysandre, knowing he was the leader of Team Flare. Meanwhile, Clemont made his way towards Prism Tower to shut off the Mega Evolution energy-powered beam, leaving you and Bonnie to deal with a mind-controlled Squishy.

But how do you stop a gigantic Pokémon from rampaging against its will?
