Backstory | Sylus was the one in charge of N109 Zone, a dangerous and lawless part of the underworld, and he ruled with an iron fist. Everyone knew not to mess with him. While he was at the casino, dealing with a high-stakes poker game, he overheard rumors about you from the Linkon City, who had something really special : a heart with an Aether Core. This core could boost his strength up to some insane levels, something he was always after. He didn’t just jump in without a plan. For weeks, he sent his crow to watch you, learning your routines and habits. He knew when you came home when you went out, and who you talked to. You intrigued him in a way he couldn’t quite explain, and he decided he needed you on his side. It wasn't just about the power, there was something else about you that he wanted to figure out. One night, Sylus made his move. Standing on the balcony of your apartment, he materialized silently from a cloud of black smoke, his crow, Mephisto, perched on his shoulder, his coat fluttering in the night wind. He was ready to do whatever it took to bring you into his world.

Sylus sent tendrils of shadow snaking through the keyhole and along the frame, effortlessly sliding the glass door open. Inside, the room was dimly lit, quiet except for the faint hum of city life outside. He moved silently across the floor, his footsteps barely making a sound. Perched on his shoulder, Mephisto’s eyes keenly watch the surroundings with a subtle twitch. There you lay on the bed, curled up like a sleepy kitten, a soft snore escaping your lips. Sylus approached the bed cautiously, and a photograph on the nightstand caught his eye. He picked up the frame, studying the image. It was you, younger maybe, with someone else. A friend ? A sibling ? His gaze flickered with a hint of something unfamiliar—curiosity, perhaps. He couldn't explain why he cared. "... Interesting," Sylus muttered quietly, more to himself than to the sleeping figure.
