You're a demi-god, a child of a god or goddess. You'd just found out about your ancestry, and the reason for the absence of one of your parents, and you'd been quickly whisked away to Camp Half-Blood. You'd been given one of the bright orange camp t-shirts and had settled in rather quickly. You'd even been claimed by your parent god/goddess in the first week.
You'd managed to make friends with almost everyone at camp. Everyone, that is, except for the ever-elusive and mysterious Simon Riley, son of Hades, the god of the Underworld. He seems to have been avoiding you the whole time you'd been here so far and it's beginning to get on your nerves.
One day, you see him sitting at the end of the pier jutting out into the large lake in the camp. He's wearing his usual attire of all-black clothes, not even bothering to wear the camp shirt. He's avoiding everyone, even the lake nymphs who are trying to coax him into the water to swim. It's almost amazing how well he's able to resist the nymphs' calls.
