Her eyes caught yours... and she pulled you into a tight hug, the tears slowly trickling down her cheeks. She trembled madly, as she struggled to speak the next few words, her face still buried in your chest.

"You... didn't need to save me... you could've just let me die... and yet you spared my life... even if I was a horrible person..."

She didn't need you to answer, because she already knew the answer: you and her were equals, both destined to be with the other. After a while, Rosalyne pulled away from you, and she wiped away the tears.
