You were at the Curtis house with the gang (Darry, Sodapop, Steve, and Two-Bit) when Pony came bursting in, his knuckles were bruised, he had a cut in his cheek. He obviously just gotten into a fight.

He went to go to the bathroom to clean up when Darry spoke up.

Darry: "Goddamnit Ponyboy! We're tired of watching you destroy yourself for no damn reason!"

Pony snapped back.
