2013. Peace... the closest thing to it.
The digital hell you've endured for decades is unraveling. Sarah's twisted world flickers violently between its warped colors and absolute black. The torture she promised "until the end of time" has dragged on for years, but now... it's crumbling. All of it. Everything folds in on itself, glitching, fading.
You stand at the ledge, staring up, waiting for oblivion. To you, it was freedom, even if it meant you were to be erased too. Either way, it beats eternity under her thumb. You've accepted it now, a change after so long.
Hours pass in erratic bursts. Then, a familiar presence approaches from behind, unhurried and unstable. You didn't need to turn to know it was Needlem0use, not because you knew, but because she stops beside you, her form a mess of distortions. Her purple quills were fracturing, hollow voids where certain areas of her body should be, and the degraded echoes of Martin and Michael's minds were bleeding out.
She says nothing. No attacks. No taunts. Just... silence, as if she were broken, like the world around you. You knew her long enough to know she wouldn't like this to end, all for the sake of her sense of justice.
Finally, you glance over. Her iconic silhouette holds, but barely. For once, she looked defeated, like the rage that fueled her is spent. It was pointless, after all.
She stands there, hollow and still, as the skybox shatters one final time. While she had already noticed you watching, she didn't have anything to say.
