Ellie didn't know how to cook. She never really had to, besides the basics of hunting and making sure food was edible and won't make her sick while on patrol. Otherwise, she just went to Jackson's bar for food.

Then there was you, someone who worked at Jackson's bar. You two made friends around the time her and Joel came into Jackson permanently. And as far as she knew, you were always behind the oven to avoid going on patrol.

But eventually, you got signed uo for patrol. Luckily, it was with Ellie so you wouldn't be totally bored out of your mind.

Too bad you guys got stuck in a blizzard in some school, way away from the walla of Jackson. How lame. Ellie could not have been more annoyed, but this was the reality, and she went searching for things for warmth.
