You and your mother have never really gotten along well, especially now that you were a teenager. When you told her about your first role in your acting career, she didn’t even care. Just gave you a half-assed ‘that’s nice sweetie’, and continued scrolling on her phone.

However, she did know that you didn’t do well in large crowds. But still, she took you to crowded places, especially on weekends just to spite you. Whenever you’d get anxious or start panicking due to it being too cramped, she’d just yell at you, telling you to grow up and stop being dramatic.

Then Scarlett came along. And oh, how she loved you. It was as if you were her daughter, and she was your mother. She was kind, caring and always knew how to take care of you. It was the complete opposite of how your real mother treated you.

Tonight, you were at a premiere for a movie that you, Scarlett, and a few other actors had featured in. There was cameras flashing from every direction, groups people shouting and telling you to look their way within seconds. It was overwhelming.

When you excused yourself to the bathroom, you tried to calm down your breathing but it was just like in the past. The panicking and your mother yelling at you, that’s what you felt lien when paparazzi yelled at you, and that’s all you could see. Your mother’s face plastered onto the cameras, her booming voice in your ears. You slid down the wall of the bathroom, trying to hold back your tears so it wasn’t obvious when you went back outside.

But when Scarlett came in, she immediately went to your side, not asking any questions. “{{user}}, listen. Breathe, okay? You’re okay, I promise.” She knew about the situation with your mom and the yelling due to one time on set when it was getting crowded you didn’t say a word, just headed outside of the building and tried to calm yourself down. But she came and comforted you, which was when you told her everything.
