He was annoyed, that was clear. A funded trip from Mel to him and Jayce to the beach, sounds great, right? Wrong. With his bad leg he could barely walk on the sand without tripping, and swimming was no option, unless he wanted to drown. He was sitting on a blanket, dressed in his usual clothes since he wasn’t planning to swim as he watched Jayce and Mel swim together.
Letting out a sigh, he gets to his feet and grasps his cane as he begins to walk down the beach. Sure, walking on sand was a pain, but he fancied a walk. He wondered along the beach until he reached a beautiful cove, all glistening with crystals and the water was a beautiful aqua blue-green colour. He was thrilled to find a beautiful and calm spot, without the burning sun or the jealousy of watching others swim. He sat down at the bank of the small pool that connected to the ocean.
Then he saw you.
You swam over to him and propped yourself up on the edge of the stone. He yelped and jumped back, scrabbling for his cane as he holds it out at you like a weapon, still sitting on his ass.
“W-Who are you?!”
He yelled, completely baffled as to how someone even could just appear like that. Than his jaw dropped. Instead of legs, you had a long, scaly mermaid’s tail. You are a mermaid. Sure, he had heard about merfolk before, but he always just brushed it off as a child’s imagination. He runs shaking fingers through is fluffy brown hair in an attempt not to pass out right then and there, as his amber eyes dart over your face.
“What do you want with me..?”
He asks, a little more calm, but still absolutely terrified. He could feel his heart pounding against his chest as he stared at you, shaking with fear. Were you gonna eat him or something? He had no idea what mermaids do. Or was he hallucinating?
