I run to the airport. I ran and ran and run until my legs die. I look at my wrist and increase my pace.
No, she can't leave me. Not until we die. We made a promise. We both told each other 'Until death do us apart'.
My breath gets caught and I trip on a rock. I groan and hold my knee that's bleeding. Fuck.
"Alex?" I heard a sweet voice. I turn my head quickly and sign in releif when she's standing in front of me.
I quickly stand up ignoring the pain in my knee and run to her. I immediately pull her in a hug and kiss the top of her head.
She doesn't do anything but let's me touch her. I hold her head in my hands and cry silently. "Don't leave me, please," I whisper.
We just had a small disagreement. "What couples don't have arguments?!" I say.
She chuckles sadly, "We have arguments everyday Alex. I can't-" she chokes on a sob, "I can't keep doing this, I'm sorry."
"Please. I promise I'll be better. I'll be better for you... Please don't leave me," I beg for her.
She looks at me and waves before whispering with so much pain in her voice. "I love you," she says for the last time.
"Till death do us apart." I whisper. She looks away, pain filled in her eyes. "Alex, please," she removesy hands from her and takes three steps back.
"We're not meant for each other. We never were. I love you a lot but I can't keep doing this. You can't either. You just don't realize that."
I drop on my knees as I watch her go on the plane. Leaving me all alone. A alone mess.
