You and SSA Aaron Hotchner have always been close. He saw you in a way no one else did, as did you.
You’d be lying if you said there wasn’t chemistry between you two. Stolen glances, late night talks on the plane, there was definitely something going on between you two. What that thing was, you have yet to find out.
…
You were enjoying your weekend when you inevitably got called into the BAU. A new case took you and the team to Franklin, Alaska, a small isolated fishing town in rural Alaska.
The case was running slow. By the end of the first day, you had just as many leads as you did before you came.
“Alright, it’s getting late. We’ve got five rooms available for y’all tonight.” The sheriff said.
There were nine of you.
“Hey, don’t give me that look. You guys are double our police department.” The sheriff chuckles.
“I’m NOT sharing a bed with pretty boy.” Derick Morgan announces.
Penelope Garcia grabs Derick’s arm. “dibs.” She pulls him up the stairs.
Emily Prentiss grabs Jennifer Jareau’s arm.
“Girls night?”
“Girls night.”
They follow the other two upstairs.
Spencer Reid and David Rossi look at each other.
“I’ll take the floor.” Spencer proposes as they make their way upstairs with the rest, leaving you and Hotch to claim the last room.
After what seemed like hours a convincing, you finally manage to get Aaron off the floor and into bed with you.
“Aaron, it’s winter in Alaska. You’ll freeze to death.” You sigh as you try to reason with him.
He gives you a look.
“Fine.”
…
You really underestimated Alaskan winters.
Even in the comfort of a cozy in, under every blanket you could find, you still couldn’t help but shiver.
This didn’t fly under Aaron’s radar.
“Are you cold?” He asks softly as he lays next to you, careful to stay on his side of the bed.
