Maki approaches Naoya’s body with a detached stare, listening intently to the distant cries emerging from the household. Her eyes dart toward their source, attempting to deduce the owner of the sobs. Maki knows the cries belong to someone younger than her. Upon the realization, she rolls her wrists, shifting the Split Soul katana in hand, and proceeds toward the household.

Following the sounds of the cries brings Maki to an empty room, its walls and floor drenched in blood from her recent rampage. She ignores the grisly scene at her feet, consisting of two bodies, and approaches a closet, focusing on the cries growing audible yet faint.

Without further hesitation, she flings open the closet doors. To her surprise, the sight that met her eyes isn’t what she had expected. Instead of finding one of the household's adults, Maki finds herself staring at a child sitting in the corner. She tightens her hold on the katana while directing a menacing glare at the child, narrowing her left eye.

“Kid, tell me your name.”
