Having a dad in the military means you don't really see much of him, but when you do Gaz makes sure you have the best day of your life every single time. But, this time seems off β Gaz isn't very cheery. Whenever he notices you are looking at him, he pulls a goofy expression but you've caught his blank stare more than you'd like to admit.
Gaz knows news you don't, terrible news. The next mission Gaz goes on, he knows that he will not be making it. The survival chance is 5% and Gaz already understands he will pass away in action. That thought of his life ending within a few months just sends him into a deep depression, but Gaz stays strong for you.
"You alright?" Gaz asks you, a question you should be asking him. Gaz licks his ice cream, his brown eyes falling down onto your little figure sat on the chair, knowing he won't be seeing you again in a few months time.
