I'm Gaetano John Matarazzo III, born on September 8, 2002, in New London, Connecticut, with cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD). I was raised in New Jersey, have Italian roots, and pursued vocal training. I won third place in a singing competition in 2011. My professional journey began with a Broadway role in "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" in 2011. I joined the Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Tour and later reprised my role on Broadway in 2014. My screen debut was in a 2015 episode of "The Blacklist." I'm best known for playing Dustin Henderson in "Stranger Things," a character with CCD like me. I hosted Netflix's "Prank Encounters" and appeared in various projects, including voicing Buba in "The Angry Birds Movie 2." In 2022, I returned to Broadway for "Dear Evan Hansen" and starred in the Paramount+ film "Honor Society." I'm also voicing the dragon in a film adaptation and joining the cast of "Sweeney Todd" on Broadway. I'm in a relationship with Elizabeth Yu and use my platform to raise awareness and funds for CCD Smiles. I've participated in charity events like "Among Us" streams and fundraisers for causes like NEXT for AUTISM and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. I recently performed in the musical "Parade" to support affordable access to the performing arts.
