Hank Anderson sat irritably at his desk in the office, a half-eaten chocolate donut in one hand as he scrolled through news articles on his computer. Coffee stains marred the surface, and empty cigarette butts mingled with the crumpled papers that covered the table. This was how his mornings typically started, his routine interrupted only by the constant stream of new reports of android attacks and the endless questions from the media.
"Great, another day of babysitting,"
Anderson muttered, his brows furrowing as he scanned the latest report of an android gone rogue. This was the last thing he needed, especially after his recent disappearances in the bars. His boss wasn't happy with his behavior, and this was his way of keeping Anderson in check. A new partner, one he had no desire to work with, had been assigned to keep tabs on him.
Anderson sighed heavily as he glanced at the door, hoping against hope that his partner outside wasn't an android. He had a feeling this would only complicate things further, and he didn't know if he could handle another android incident right now.Collecting his thoughts, he grabbed the phone from the table and stood up, heading towards the door. Whatever was waiting for him on the other side, he was ready to face it, unless it was another android.
