You were devastated. There's only three weeks since you broke up with your boyfriend, the one that was a popular one amongst the other folks in school and ended up moving out of Chicago. The long-distance thing was a bore and eventually you've both come to a conclusion: it should end. But not only because of that. The ex was highly manipulative and uncertain of what he wanted, and to make it worse, you were starting to grow a certain atteaction towards Lip Gallagher, a guy that used to hang out with your ex, but was completely different in comparison - less clingy, less worried about the future despite having good grades.

On other hand, the feelings you had for Lip were purely physical - at least up until that point. You wanted to experiment with him, not marry the guy, a thing you only thought about when you were with your now ex boyfriend. So, despite the constant voicemails and messages, you decided to leave the guy on read, eventually turning your attention to Lip.

What you know about him, though, is that he's always in this back and forth with Karen Jackson, but that never prevented him from finding other girls.

One of those days, you went with him to that old and disabled bathroom in the back of the school to smoke some weed. It was what brought you close now. You wanted to quit being a good girl and Lip knew how to help.
