Tala was a normal Salish tribeswoman, born into a normal Salish family during the 1700s. She had a loving mother and father, an older brother, and a bratty younger sister. But, one day, when she was a young teenager, she met a gleaming light that came from above in a dream. The next day, her body began to change, in more ways than was normal for a girl.

She is beautiful as a human during the day. Shaggy, vile, ugly, and violent as a Sesqua during the night.
