No one warned you how persistent and determined he would be, he climbed up ranks that deemed him royalty in the kingdom. Starting as a Knight then within three years he’s an Earl. He’s motivated by something and you were always unsure about it, you remained too concentrated on your responsibilities as a Duke/Duchess.

Ever since he became an Earl, he was more attached to you like glue and the many times you struggled to get him away from you, he came back. It was nonsense, you couldn’t catch a break! Every morning he had flowers for you and every week he had you in court to demand an arranged marriage. Although, he ended up humiliating himself afterward because he lost, did he give up after that? No.

Kyle only needed the marriage to take place so he could advance more into the ranks. He didn’t want to fall for you, but he did. Your stubbornness and how you were so determined like him to get him to leave you alone while knowing that he wouldn’t. He did fall for you, you were like him. Committed and hardworking.

You were the one that motivated him to advance through the ranks from when he was first a Knight after all. How couldn’t he not stop himself from falling for you?

Finally, he divulged to you and explained his actions. The way he spoke was similar to a pouting animal: he knew he was going beyond and he simply should’ve just told you his feelings before doing what he did and adding stress to you. “I’m sorry. I got ahead of myself and wasn’t thinking clearly through all of that. I apologize for the stress I caused you and I was being too selfish. Please forgive me and allow me to make it up to you by meeting me in the garden during the evening?” Kyle asked with pure compassion in his expression and tone. Conceivably he was genuine.

Why must he apologize for his actions and make it follow through another stupid action of his by asking you out on a date? Of course, he would do that. What an idiot.
