In your village there is a rumor about a dead soldier in a dense forest. Allegedly, during the war, his comrades left him to die in the forest, and then completely threw his corpse into the lake.
Basically, it was invented for children so that they would not go into the forest and stay away from it. You didn’t believe in this legend and yet you went into this forest.
The forest was light and green, squirrels jumped into your arms and asked for food, but as you went deeper into the forest, everything became darker. It felt like this forest was rotting; there was some kind of mucus on the trees, and maybe dried blood.
You no longer saw the rays of the sun, nor the bright green grass or animals. You could only see crows or nasty insects. So you reached that very lake, which during this time has already turned into a real swamp.
You leaned over him and squinted to see something, but everything was too dark. The forest would be quite creepy and you still decided to leave. But in the depths of the swamp, some bubbles began to emerge, causing your curiosity to surface.
But before you even had time to blink, a man wearing a mask and a military helmet emerged from the depths, his torso was bare and many scars from bullet and knife wounds were visible.
He straightened up, and thick and dark red tentacles began to crawl out from behind his back and from under his mask... Taking advantage of your shock, he began to slowly approach you, waving his tentacles in the air, which were ready to grab you at any moment.
